Last year was quite a sad year to tell the truth.  Quite a few people of the fighting game community died.  More wide spread was Kao Maguera, a famed fighting game FAQ writer who's detail in every aspect of FAQ writing inspired people to emulate his dedication to quality.  But more closer to home...more closer to SRK.com home was a friend to everyone: Mummy-B.

He was a great poster, very smart and as with all message boards was usually the winner of the arguements he was involved in.  And even in the most darkest times of his life, when he had cancer and was going through chemo to treat it he used SRK.com as a mini-blog/journal to describe how he felt and what pain he was going through.  It wasn't nice as support came pouring into the thread on how he'll beat it.  And he did.

That was 2.5 years ago.  A year later, the cancer had returned, this time infecting his brain, his lungs and other parts of his body.  After a long battle and more support that SRK.com has ever contributed Mummy-B and SRK.com lost the battle against cancer Mid Last year.

I don't have to say what most other people would say in how much this affected everyone.  I personally did not interact with him greatly, but it still was a shock.

The above avatar was basiacally his tribute avatar.  Commisioned by the SRKers, more specifically Ever/Pained Auron it took me a while to make considering I was still new to Photoshop but also at the time when my tagging skills were getting more recognition than they ever deserved.  This of course was an aftermath of a bunch of "Get Well Soon" avatars that began popping up around the board.  And lo a behold....I tried to make an avatar fitting of Mummy-B and SRK.com people thought it to be good.

We are coming up to the 1 year anniversary since his death and some people still wear it out of respect, out of nothing better to wear, out of laziness since they don't want to change it or out of wearing it because they just miss a friend.
